Shop Alarms

Hi
Hoping someone can help.

I have a britax affinity pushchair and it keeps setting off shop alarms.

This is my second chassis as the first one did this and I emailed britax who kindly sent me a replacement. The fact the 2nd one is also doing it makes me think it is something in the way it is made. It didn't do it at first but started a couple of days ago again so don't think it's a tag on anything. The front of the pram has suspension coils which seem to be the culprit and I read somewhere about another brand setting off alarms and someone had come up with a solution to do with covering the coils.

Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with my pushchair. Its a Babystyle Oyster, currently with the carrycot attachment and it sets off nearly every shop alarm. Its extremely embarrassing and when explaining to shop staff or security they look at me like I'm lying. If anyone knows what to do about this I'd be grateful as now I'm avoiding going shopping because of it.

I'm having the same problem with our Uppababy Vista and posted about it here.

It's a real mystery to me, especially because it doesn't happen every time.

We spent 5 minutes with a member of staff helping us to work it out on Monday evening and sometimes the alarm went off, other times it didn't. My DW has almost stopped going to Sainsbury's as a result!
