pram/pushchair for tall couple

Looking for a pram/pushchair suitable for 6ft 4 man & 5ft 10 woman. Not too heavy. Needs to fit in boot of a hatchback along with Husky dog and be easy enough for a grandparent to fold up and lift. We live in a hilly area with terrible roads and pavements. Any ideas there are so many we are bewildered by the choice.

Maclaren techno XLR - light but comfy for DC, very manoeuvrable, versatile (lies flat) and folds away nicely. It has extendable handles for taller people so suits me and DH perfectly.

I think the problem is often finding one that you don't kick the back off, rather than just the handle height.

My DH is very tall but has quite a short stride, so it was only really handle height that mattered to us, we've gone for the Baby Jogger City Versa. It's on the heavy side by lovely fold and meant to be good off road (baby isn't here yet).

My SIL and her husband are both the same sort of heights as you and your man, they went for the iCandy Peach, which has good stride and a really easily adjustable handle (makes it easy to switch between users, including the much shorter grandma)

Mclarren techno

I'm 6ft and have a long stride and found it to be perfect

I tried others but I was constantly kicking the back

Discovered it when dd1 was 18 months and used it with dd2 from birth

My dad is 6ft 3 and pushed it quite happily when babysitting and its traditional umbrella fold so it didn't confuse my mum

I love my mountain buggy urban jungle. I'm 5'9 and DH is 6'5 and I never kick the back.

not small though thats the only issue.

we had an emmaljunga husky - probably don't make it anymore - I'm 5'10 and OH is 6'2 - we found it perfect and was sturdy enough for hill tracks and came with a toddler seat which was great when we had no2 son. Lay back fully and used it from birth. it was quite big for getting in the car though.

6ft2 husband, 5ft 6 me - another vote for Maclaren (in our case Techno XT). Handles very quick and simple to extend, no issues for either of us using it or adjusting handles to suit.

We're both 6ft+. I found that not only did I kick the back of many prams, but that the baby seemed an awfully long way away in most of them. We briefly considered the Stokke Xplory before settling on the Joolz Day. The fold might be a bit stiff for your grandparent though. Uppababy Vista also has a nice high seat

oskybosky4, I don't know where you live, but I have a maclaren techno xt for sale. It's only 8 days old and am selling for the very fact that it's too tall for me (didn't realise) I'm only 5 ft. I live in Berkshire, if interested.

6ft 5 husband and he has dictated our pushchair choices (he's pretty much tried them all in shops I've dragged him round over 5 years!) - icandy Apple has been fantastic as has Mountain Buggy.

Pushchairs with tall handles are: iCandy Apple 2 Pear, Easywalker MINI stroller, Kiddy City 'n Move, the new Babystyle Oyster 2, a Joolz Day, the Bugaboo Buffalo. But as others have said, handle angle may be more important, so I would look too at the Mutsy Evo as there's a long distance from the handlebar to the seat. Also for similar reasons, the Oyster Max.

The uppababy and Mutsy Igo have a lovely high handles both so made for very tall people haha, the seatunit on the Igo is one of the tallest on the market and if both of you are tall the probability of a tall child is great.

Weirdly that's mine and my oh exact heights we went for a baby style oyster which fit us height wise but was also light (my criteria). I would recommend it
