Smallest Offroader?

I have a tiny, tiny car and but walk lots with DS off road and mainly over grass as we have to walk over fields to get to the village. I've always done it with him but usually have him in a sling. He's really too heavy for me to manage now (18 months) and I want a pram.

I have borrowed a friends Maclaran GT but it is awful on grass and wouldn't buy it.

I've been looking at the Mountain Buggy Mini but it's not released yet, Babyzen Yoyo, Oyster Gem...

I don't really want to buy a pram for the car and one for fields. I just don't have the space or money to do it.

I've been watching Fouette's thread and most of the prams seem huge.

Any advice?

The mb mini has been out for ages but reports aren't that good, or do you mean the nano? The yoyo, the oyster gem.. not off roaders, far from it. Sounds like you need something a lot more robust. What is more important, folded size or open size? Stroller sized off roaders.. there really aren't any. Baby joggers all fold flat, wheels remove easily, different models, bigger or smaller wheels. The city mini gt may fit in a small boot without removing wheels.

What about the regular babyzen? Not the yoyo. It has a nifty fold with wheels etc so takes up little space

Oh it looks brilliant! Great suggestion and t fits my car with room to spare!

How is it on grass? The reviews sound good but I was wondering if anyone has tried it. :)

Hi! If the Babyzen Recaro fits then its lovely. We loved ours and the fold is pretty awesome.
However....I have a few minor negatives - all of which I think could be overcome or may not bother you.
First the basket is tiny. However its a good shape and we used to stand items up in it, and could get by with say a Pacapod changing bag underneath.
I know DH who is tall used to kick the back wheels, but it never bothered me. Where you have the handle probably affects this too.
The one which annoyed me was the straps are very slippery, and thus kept coming loose, which I didn't like because I couldn't see my son all the time. However, I suspect a Houdini stop or Belt Up could be added as extra security. Or worst case another harness could well be added.

It was great across rough ground and I know it was my hubby's favourite pushchair. The fold is quite large but incredibly flat.

If the Recaro Babyzen fits in, then look too at the Baby Joggers. With the wheels popped off the chassis' are all very flat. The Elite or Summit would pack away small. I bet size wise, these two are probably smaller folded than the Babyzen.

The fold photos at the bottom of here may well be of interest to show what I mean about the size. I didn't actually realise how much smaller the Elite was. Bear in mind that having the handle of the Elite flat instead of folded like in the last photo, would make the Elite even slimmer folded.
