Uppababy g luxe vs Maclaren Quest sport?

Hello All,

I know they are probably in the top end of cost but we have set budget for this.

Anyone can recommend?

I know that each will have its pros and cons and the G Luxe is considerably lighter than the Quest.

We live in London and would like this for the old traveling in the tube and bus malarkey and just a quick run around and for mum to use when I go back to work. We have a bugaboo be which I adore!

Thank you!!!

Xx

Hello there! I am training to Paris on Saturday from West Sussex and will be doing lots of travelling (including on tubes and buses) and have come down to the 2013 maclaren quest and uppababy g-luxe too. Just wondering which one you went for in the end? I read somewhere that the uppababy g-luxe has been tested/can hold more than 15kg but that the rain cover doesn't go down far enough. I haven't managed to try one but have tried he maclaren and like it but wasn't too sure about the brakes. Wish I could try the uppababy. I could fold the maclaren 1 handed with my 1 year old on my hip and was wondering if I could do the same with the uppababy. Wish I could have a look at one before buying. xx

I've got a g-luxe. It's main advantage is it's very very light. I've got a vista but putting it in and out of the boot was killing my back.

Rain cover seems to fit OK but DD is only 7 months old yet. Has a pull out sunshade like the vista which I like. It is very easy to fold but not one-handed. Another advantage is that it will stand freely on its own. It will fold with a footmuff in but not with the rain cover in the basket. The footbrake is a bit light IMO.

I considered the Maclaren techno but went for the g-luxe because it is a bit lighter (and looks nicer I think). Overall I'm pleased with it and would recommend. If you're near a John Lewis they now sell them.

I have a quest and find it very bumpy. Does the G luxe have suspension?

It doesn't have suspension but I find it quite a smooth ride.
