Ok, I have only just got a bfp but.... Dd1 at school, dd2 will be 3.5 if I am right estimate dates when dc3 arrives, omg I feel sick even typing that, is all too surreal still, wondering how will cope! I have a bee plus that dd2 is very comfy in but it's not very cosy and she's a big little person ifykwim! Not a tiny scrummy newborn. I have always rather found bee a bit rickety, thinking trolley here! Didn't have it when dd2 was little (had double nipper which I adored).
Is the bee cosy enough for a winter baby with cocoon then footmuff when bit bigger?
Is it a real faff with the harness on/off? Tend to like my babies asleep in pram downstairs near me in day and get a bit precious about their comfort and would prob keep fussing with harness..but could change this idea and use cot upstairs what with dds running about.
Will I regret selling it when dc3 big enough sit up and look about in the lovely big seat?
Are they useful and easy to use with a maxi cosi when am on school run with car? Or will this do my head in?!
I love look of new nipper double. Have vision of dd1 on free rider, dc3 in one seat and dd2 in other when not fighting dd1 for the free rider.....this scenario also imagined with the duet!
The bee seems poor storage wise, just don't love it but no idea how good for new born. If all goes well with dc3 then initially would use sling or carry the maxi cosi from car to school yard for school run and have duet or nipper or phil and teds for when walk to school, but then maxi cosi gets heavy, I could pop it onto bee! Someone offering buy my bee now at great price....could get a phil n teds to use now, would be better for dd2 now than bee as looks cosier and useful for life with 3dcs and their kit in future. Could get a quinny buzz or zapp chassis to pop maxi cosi on for school run when in car/other short errands.
So sorry very waffles, just brain boggled with it all ready. Plus feel a bit odd keeping the bee waiting for dc3 even though dd2 in it sometimes. Really dd2 needs something far sturdier. Ie phil and teds option. Which would then be handy for future use and can also take a maxi cosi? I think! I should sell the thing shouldn't I?

I know there's an essay up there to plough through but I've seen worse.....I have use paragraphs! Grin come on users of bee plus with newborn.....any good? Am leaning towards a swap for a phil n teds!
Extra question.....with the weight of my dd in it the little wheels often catch and get stuck on anything other than a perfect drop kerb/smooth path and it feels quite hard and am concerned may not be a comfy ride for a newb and the wheel catching on bumps really does annoy me, you don't even have to think about that with air tyres!

Hmmm
Tricky, I suppose it depends how far you are walking with car seat as I struggle more than a few metres, found it easier to carry child or use sling.
I can recommend the duet, have loved mine and have loathed the second hand phil and teds I have! But did make use of a single when I only had one child with me (on those rare occasions!)
As for bee plus..... I'm looking at getting one myself, do you use yours with a buggy board at all? And... If you're looking for a buyer??? ;-)

Yes I think will need double for if I walk to school from end jan early feb next yr as so cold here and not suitable fr scooter, is a touch far for dd2 to walk in time for us to get there calm and collected! Prob wouldn't use much other than that, poss of borrowing/buy duet off a friend.
Agree tiny, good point I could never carry the cosi far so will need something to put it on! Question is, is the bee good for that?, ie easy to click the thing on and off or do u faff with adapters first? Can they stay on buggy when folded etc?

Oh yes have never needed buggy board as always had a nice double and when I tried a friends I didn't like it on bee plus, too hard to steer with all the weight and kerbs a nightmare.

Wow you are brain boggled. Forgive me because I need to keep rereading as I type.
My first thoughts are if you like the Nipper, why not get another one? Its a far far nicer pushchair to push than a Duet (can pull to one side with a big weight / age difference and the low handle hurt my bag along with having to pull the pushchair straight again all the time) or a P&Ts. I would forget the Freerider though because its a piglet of a board to use - it wobbles as the child stands on it (one wheel) and as a scooter its utterly rubbish - unsteerable, heavy, big etc. Get another good board if you need one.

I wouldnt get a Quinny Buzz or Zapp for a car seat chassis - if you need something different then look at say a BJCM4 which is more stable, easier to use etc. I wished I had swapped sooner than I did. The BJCM4 was bliss to use after the Zapp.

I agree with you about the Bee - I dont like how wobbly etc it feels. I see it also as a summer pushchair - a footmuff PF is a PITA because it gets in the way of the brake for unfolding. I love the cocoon though and I prefer that the baby is strapped tightly into one instead of loose in a carrycot. I have seen a 6 week old baby caterpulted out of a pushchair because its straps were too loose and ever since then I have been wary. I think the Bee is fab for an older toddler - 12 months plus though and one day you may hanker for one back. But meanwhile I would treat your pushchairs as a rental and buy the right one for the job you need in future and then sell that and buy another Bee later.

HOWEVER you only just have a BFP and TBH I would be selling nothing for another 4-5 months and then sort a double pushchair out. You may at that point decide to keep your Bee anyway. Selling it now feels a bit knee jerk IYKWIM when you like it. It will be lovely and light to use this summer :)

Thanks tiggy! Great info there, seeing pushchair as rental great idea, could really do with something sturdier now for dd2 during dd1 school run, bee is ok though., am indeed wary of it as a winter buggy for a newborn. Indeed waiting a while longer is pertinent I think! After initial bfp shock I have gradually started to think of day to day practicalities, of course meaning pushchairs!
Agree with you I think I would hanker back for it once dc3 bigger as its great for older child I think, that means keeping it an age meanwhile. .....But like you say can always re buy one at that time, have never really been a one buggy for life kind of girl! wheres the fun in that!

I did try a sneaky look at the duet today, comparing side by side with nipper and willing dd2 tried them all out for me. She looked comfy now in both and I reckon would prob still fit in them this winter, just! Duet looked best fit though, seat back seemed higher, cosier hood etc, also cosier for the baby I should think...... And I could pop maxi cosi on it for sch run and have either a seat for dd2 if walking to sch with dd1 or the 'joey' shopper bag on if using car all day and dd2 wouldn't need seat or when she is in nursery baby could have seat and 'joey' bag carries the clobber! Hmmmm could be one buggy fits all! Then when dd2 starts school will sell it for a bee or a phil and teds, emergency spare seat/space for the school bags/lunch bags etc etc.
hmmmm sounds confused again but am glad I went to look at some pushchairs, clarified thoughts and will see how it goes with next few weeks/scans etc before I go mad buying and selling!
