iCandy Peach or ICandy Strawberry or????

Hi

Looking for some help because after 2 days of pushchair / travel system shopping we are overwhelmed by choice!!! I loved the iCandy peach but my oh thinks it will be too heavy for me to manage without him. We looked at lighter prams eg bugaboo bee but it has no carrycot which i would really like so baby can sleep in it during the day. Bugaboo chameleon seemed huge in comparison....

I wonder if the iCandy strawberry would suit as lighter than the peach but very similar? There wasn't one for us to look at - will try somewhere else next weekend.

Does anyone have one of the peach / strawberry or something similar they would recommend?

I have the Strawberry, but I didn't try the Peach so can't help with a comparison. I love the one handed fold of the Strawberry, and I find it easy to lift in and out of the car (not sure on the weight difference between the Strawberry and Peach though). It is lovely to push on both smooth and bumpy ground. I know from reading previous posts on here that the Peach is highly rated by owners too though, so I'm sure you would be happy with either the Peach or Strawberry! I've always really liked the look of the Cameleon as well though. Good luck with your search!

He thinks it will be too heavy for you to manage without him? Hmm

The peach is 13kg or so iirc... your baby might weigh that by 12-18months! If it's folding and lifting being discussed then it's always in two parts, the chassis is chunky (i must admit to shinning myself whils putting it in the car on occasion) but perfectly manageable for the majority of people. On the assumption you have no specific issues with lifting he's probably being a little precious Grin but that's not to say there aren't good reasons for getting a lighter pushchair.

The strawberry is 11.5ish, so not light in comparison to other options- the cherry is under 10kilos, the bee is 8.something.

I still think a lot of prams are overly big, the smaller you want to go the less options there are or compromises such as the bee not having a carrycot.

Too heavy? Hmm...as Parties says, how will you carry the baby around?
Plus the weight of all of your pushchair list can be split by having the seat and chassis in two parts to lift or carry. The Peach chassis slings nicely over a shoulder and the Strawberry can easily be towed along behind you eg into your house.
If you want something lighter, then have a look at a Silver Cross Wayfarer or a Graco Evo.
