I just wanted to let you know that I managed to get a look at the Wayfarer yesterday and love it!- just what I was looking for, thank you for all yr help with this. I loved:

Width
Sturdiness
Lovely plush feeling carrycot
Really high handle
Big hood
The fact that the seat will sit very upright as one of the positions
Big basket

I could go on...the only thing that I was not so keen on was that the seat unit is quite shallow in depth and I think therefore wont fit a toddler. I tried my 2.10 month old in it and she was definitely too big (but to be fair she's 98 centile height/weight).

I've bought a lascal maxi and will just hope for the best, I'll let you know how well this works out when all is delivered next week if you're interested.

Do i need one? You must have thought it seemed buggyboard-able though, will be really interested to hear how you get on with it overall.

At almost 3 most children are going to look big in a reversible seat, varying stages of big crossing over into too big. We struggled to see the seat well because all the ones we saw had the footmuff apron thing on.

What colour did you go for?

I went for sky blue- one of my favourite colours

My daughter doesn't use a pushchair now but I coerced her to sit in it just so I could get an idea. The seat unit is wide and tall, I'm not sure why they have made it so shallow, but I'll get over it (I hope).

It reminded me of a more sturdy and luxurious looking M&P Urbo actually,v similar weight, width and leather trim thing. Much better looking wheels though- these were bigger and sturdier looking than I was expecting.

I am crossing my fingers and toes that it works out well (especially with buggy board), I'm currently 39+3 so have a slightly more sod it attitude than I probably would normally!

Shallow is irritating, do you think it would suit up to a 2 year old? I have a tandem atm with fairly shallow seats, 23cm. I wonder how it compares? My toddler goes in when necessary but it isn't ideal, given it was 145 new and for occasional use it's fine in practise.

I'm glad you agreed on the sturdiness of the Wayfarer, I wish I could have another look, seeing something once, fairly quickly doesn't give a full enough impression on all points. When yours arrives can we start with the barrage of questions please?

Tbh, I wouldn't buy for one of toddler age, I measured the seat depth at 22.5cm as I'd made myself a little chart to compare product stats against the Bee (saddo). The seat is as high and slightly wider than Bee but much shallower. I guess you wouldn't have seen that with the apron on.

We decided to go for it still knowing that we have a Quest thats still in v good nick that we like a lot and that when older no. 2 could transfer into here. From my perspective, it does stop the Wayfarer from being ideal but on balance it will give us what we want for the period of time we want it. It's being delivered tomorrow, I'll let you know how buggy board works out.

I was more thinking from birth as far as age 2 as oppose to buying one for a toddler... the fact they only sell it with the carrycot implies that's the intention I suppose.

There's usually something that stops a pushchair being ideal, if it's close you're doing well. I will be interested to hear how it copes with uneven ground etc. Because compact, sturdy and parent facing is my unicorn

Righto, when no. 2 makes an appearance I'll get out there up and down kerbs and to the most uneven surfaces I can find and report back!

I know someone who walked home from the hospital.. it wasn't desperation to try the pram out in that case but that's the sort of thing I would do.

If it were me I'd be out tomorrow having bribed a toddler into it or something.

I do kinda want one myself but its a loooooot of money for 13mth old and definitively last baby dc3

Good to hear you liked it. I fancy one too but need to sell some other stuff on first!
