Replacement buggy for 2yo

motherofvikings · 22/02/2013 19:48

My buggy might be on its way out. (lose screws refusing to tighten) :(

Dd is 2yo so will need a buggy for another year I think. I don't want something as 'basic/ lightweight' as a Mclaren umbrella fold job. But I can't justify £100s either.

Any suggestions? I don't mind getting a second hand one (poor dd has everything second hand!) :)

Chicco Liteway on eBay usually go for around £20-35, and it is a great pushchair :)

I would have a look at a Britax b-agile or a pre-loved baby jogger city mini. Both similiar easy folds, lots of seat room and not a umbrella fold buggy, both perfect for a toddler x

Thanks milk!

I think I'm so used to ours (bought in 2009) which is a brio go travel system thingy that the Chicco just looks so, well, flimsy in comparison. Blush I'm sure it's not but will have to play with one in the flesh.

I've started walking a lot more lately and really like that I can push it one handed (while dragging ds on his scooter) and bung said scooter underneath once we've dropped him off at preschool.

Hmmm can see a trip to mothercare coming soon....

It doesn't sound like an umbrella stroller is right for you, esp not when coming from a brio go... the b agile/city mini slant is a good one, the graco swiftfold is cheap and similar. I loved my b agile, many many people feel the city mini love. I walk a lot and liked that the b agile has more suspension than the city mini and the back wheels are bigger so the ride seemed smoother.

If you want another parent facer then unless you live somewhere out of the way you will probably be able to find any number of things on ebay that may suit you.

Baby jogger citi mini or micro

My DS hasn't been in his buggy apart from to nap since he was 2 (now 2yr 8m).

Thanks guys! :)

I'm setting dh on the case of the dodgy screw so my brio may not be dead yet.

The baby jogger does look good, I've been impressed with the double a friend has.

Any other suggestions? :)

Thanks homeaway. I had a quick look and they is only 3, 2 of them are £100s and the other is on auction with a week left.

I still haven't had dh look at the screws yet. Hmm

The baby joggers I've seen on eBay seem to go for a fair bit too tho... Confused
