I'm not quite sure how I get myself into these situations sometimes Blush.

After 'just looking' at a different doubles seat for my P&T yesterday, I have now managed to buy and pay for a whole new buggy and doubles seat HmmGrin.

Fingers crossed it's less hassle to fit in my boot than other P&T models.

Better get the dash on eBay Grin.

Aha, now I'm interested to hear how it works as a double Will you be using it in the newborn toddler set up or is it for two older ones?

It's for two older ones (I'm a CM). Do you think the doubles seat will be much smaller? Starting to think it was a bad impulse buy (though, they tend to be my best buys Grin). Everything I've read says the main seat is the same size as other P&T models but I didn't think to check if the doubles seat would be the same Blush.

One of the main things I'm hoping will help me is the smaller wheels. Also, the doubles seat recline looks like it will be better for taller passengers...desperately trying to justify my purchase Grin. Oh and I think I got it for a good price so if it's not as great as I'm hoping then might get a good price for it on eBay!!

When I last looked at it, no children present for comparison, the main seat looked big, well tall at least, the lower seat looked shorter. But I can't say that bothers me, a good few tandems have shorter rear seats. I really don't know.. I've never seen children in one, that's why I'm so curious!

Well, I let you know when I've got my hands on it Grin...I'm actually quite excited because I rarely buy new buggies plenty of secondhand ones though.

Ooh, I'll definitely update when it gets here. Current status says it's been dispatched but that was at 9pm and I only bought it at 3pm so it might possibly be here today Grin or I'll have to wait until Monday.

ooo where did you get it from?

Report
HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 01/02/2013 20:04

eBay.

It was £385 for the single buggy, doubles seat and postage. Was secretly hoping it would be delivered today but looks like I'll have to wait until Monday.

I'be just received the buggy and guess what? No doubles kit!

I was sure from the wording in the description that it was included Sad.

oh no :( I couldn't decide either way from the wording :( what will do you?

Report
Ihateparties · 04/02/2013 12:56

It was ambiguous wasn't it, didn't specifically say single or double. Hmmm. What are you going to do?

Report
ValiumQueen · 04/02/2013 13:06

The description is indeed ambiguous. Features include double kit, seat pads for both seats etc. I think it is worth complaining to the seller. They may send a double kit to you. It should clearly say 'double kit not included' after those specs.

I emailed the seller first thing this morning but no response so far. I don't know if I can justify another £100 for the doubles kit but will be quite miffed if I have to pay to return the buggy.

If I haven't heard from them by tomorrow afternoon then I'll open a dispute with eBay.

i am sure there was one on there for £399 that included it too...

hmm has gone now :(

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 05/02/2013 10:03

I did see one for £399 aswell...it's sold now.

I just opened a case and the seller sent me a message straightaway to say the listing was for the single only. I've responded so will see what they say.

If I return it, I have to pay the shipping costs which is annoying but cheaper than having to pay another £100 for the extra seat.

:( hmmm... it is unclear, as listing suggests it includes the doubles :(

Report
fairimum · 05/02/2013 12:31

i actually emailed your seller before you got your dot asking if the doubles seat was included, got a reply this morning saying it wasn't, so ahve replied to them that their listing does imply that the doubles kit is included. KNow not much help to you but might make them rethink...

i would appeal to ebay as you shouldnt have to pay the postage to return as it is not as described!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 05/02/2013 13:57

Thanks, fairimum.

They've replied saying it is obvious that the listing was for a single but I can return it or pay another £85 for the doubles seat.

I've asked who will pay for the return but am fully expecting to have to pay it myself.

I'll check to see if it'll fit in my boot first then keep looking for a good deal.
