Bugaboo Bee plus: Claiming under warranty without receipt?

Hi,
This is the first time I've ever posted something so I hope I'm posting in the right place!

I have a Bugaboo Bee+ 2012 in coral red. It was a gift and therefore I don't have the receipt for it. The person that got it for me didn't keep the receipt. Does this mean that if anything ever goes wrong with it I won't be able to claim it under the 2 year warranty? Or will bugaboo be ok with it seeing as its obviously (I'm guessing because of the serial number & limited edition coral red colour) a 2012 bee+. Please anyone with any knowledge on this let me know as its still brand new in the box but I'm stressing about any future niggles that may come along... I've heard so many horror stories about wheels and frame not lasting beyond 2 years :(
Thanks in advance xxx

You wont be able to claim - only the person who bought and paid for it will be able to claim. Bugaboo (and other companies) are very strict about this. Strangely Bugaboo often know your details and serial number etc when you phone up - I think some shops at least register the details for you.

Just to add, most retailers would deal with the original purchaser without a receipt, as the majority of retailers wouldn't sell you a Bee without some details!!

Thanks for that. Will try and see if I can sort that out x
