I've heard the toddler seat on an I candy comes up small?

Other than that I've heard of a phil & teds but it doesn't look that good for a newborn?

Any advice?

I have the same gap and went for a mountain buggy +1 it works well fit us as I walk everywhere. I wouldn't want to be putting it in the car everyday as the fold us large struggled to get it into a corsa. Some ppl will say you won't need one and I was hoping I wouldn't but my LO is rubbish on the buggy board and still likes to nap most days.
Maybe look at a britax b dual too or a peach blossom if you can afford it.

You would need a Peach Blossom 2 if you were to get a peach really, unless absolutely sure you would only need it until the baby was 6-9 months old as the lower seat on the old one has no upright position, the toddler always has to ride in the top. The newer one both seats sit upright, size not an issue, the seats are plenty big enough.

The b dual is a good all rounder, some people on here really rate the MB+one as mentioned above.

Do you have any other specific requirements?

Not really, the peach blossom 2 looks great!

Is it difficult to fold down into your boot though?

The Peach Blossom 2 seats are a similar size. Its easy to fold down and is small when folded. One of its benefits.

Um... I was never fan of folding it personally but it's not exactly a problem, pop both seats off, pop both bars off then fold the chassis, so you have 5 separate bits. Annoying but not a deal breaker. It's also what makes it easy to use as a single at any time.

You get fast at it and I preferred putting the 2 bars and 2 seats on to having to heave a heavier one piece pushchair out of the car.
