Can't get Bugaboo Cameleon raincover to fit over carrycot...

...what am I doing wrong???

DC3 is 12 weeks, and the weather has been alright-ish, but in the recent heavy down pours, I have had to use the rain cover (I've checked, it has bugaboo label!), and I can't get it to stretch to the bottom of the carrycot...it seems about 1-2 inches too short.

I have looked at images on-line to make sure I am not being a complete muppet and putting it on the wrong way, but it looks like I am putting it on ok: clear bit with lid over the bottom of the hood, so you end up with the black plastic bit near you, handle-end.

Is it just me? Any tips? Has my raincover shrunk in the wash, do I need to buy a new one, or give up and buy generic pram cover...

Thanks for any advice!

Where did you buy the pram from? Take it back there and ask for a demonstration.

If I remember well, the black bit goes near the foot end, just place it over then put the hood end on properly. Once this is in place the black part can be hooked into place and then finally stretched over the edge.
Best of luck, I just used mine for the second time today.

I used mine happily back to front until today when I realised it went the other way round.

So try it backwards Grin

It is a bit tricky to begin with but I found mine sort of stretched after a while. The lovely summer we had meant it got used a lot Grin. Put the clear bit over the hood and then attach the two prong type things IYSWIM. Then hoick the black bi over the end. There isn't a lot of slack at all. If the normal hood falls back a bit when you put the clear end on I'd leave t until the other black eds on and then pull I straight through the hole in the raincover. It seems to add a bi of slack.

I hope this makes sense Confused. Basically I think to cover is stronger than it appears and needs to be pulled fairly hard at the black end. Good luck, it does get easier.
