Are iCandy foot muffs worth it?

Hi,

My iCandy strawberry in pomegranate is finally on its way to me, and now I need to get the foot muff.

Would you say they are worth the £85? They look quite stiff, and John Lewis have a lovely universal one that matches, it's fleecy and red with stars.

Thanks!

I would say yes...because they zip in and therefore you aren't constantly hoiking them up. The star one I believe will need the back of the hood unzipping and then its flappy when carrying and the footmuff will fall off. If I were starting again with a baby I would buy the iCandy one. I started with a toddler and so made do, but many times I wished I had the proper zip in one.

Thank you... I thought as much!

Does it zip to the seat liner?

I had a John Lewis one with my iCandy cherry, and the straps threaded through it, and the foot muff part zipped off, leaving a seat liner, but I'm thinking it wouldn't work as well with a Strawberry, as then I'd have two liners?

Would you say the iCandy ones are cosy enough? All this chilly weather is making me panic!

I know with the peach, you don't need a separate liner as the toes of the footmuff zip off to leave the liner - the shop I spoke to actually advised me to just buy one or the other, not a liner and a footmuff. I'd presume the Strawberry is the same?

I'm not sure actually. I've only got the flavour pack so far, the chassis is on its way, but the flavour pack has the seat liner, hood and shoulder pads. So you have to buy the pack otherwise there wouldn't be a hood.

You unzip the liner and remove it, and zip in the footmuff instead. Or as Rockchick says, dont bother buying a liner and just use the lower part of the footmuff.

Hi, sorry to hijack but I have an Apple and was wanting to ask exactly the same question. Is the genuine iCandy one any good or would something else do the job just as well? TIA

Ohh I see, the footmuff comes with a liner? That makes a lot of sense!

I had to buy a seat liner as it comes in the flavour pack. Pity you can't just buy something that attaches to the liner.

The top half of the footmuff unzips leaving a liner behind. Its a bit different to the usual liner though.

I've got the John Lewis universal one on my apple and it's fine. It is attached using the 3 points of the harness so doesn't move anywhere, and is £55 cheaper than the official iCandy one.

Thanks Barbeasty, £55 certainly sounds more appealing than the £85 that iCandy want. I'll investigate Smile

The John Lewis one is £25, so it's £55 cheaper. Wink
