Extra Double help

I have the phil and teds dash which is fine so far. My Daughter is only 3 months and not looking like there is much room left in the carrycot and no option to go in double kit for at least 3 more months.

I need a cheap option really to tide me over till then and also for doing the school run which is done using a single for my son and sling for daughter but she is getting a bit heavy now.

The P&T would be ok for school run but I live in a rural village surrounded by farms and hedges and punctures are a major annoyance so would prefer something that won't deflate over a thistle.

Can't be expensive as I can't jusitfy another puschair really.

Forgot to say my son is only 14 months so still likes pushchair naps.

What is expensive?
I would probably suggest either a Britax B-Dual or a Kidz Kargo Duellette. I am not sure that any of the cheaper tandems would allow a 14 month old to nap comfortably.

You could always slime your air tyres then you could stick with your P&T or consider a Nipper V1.

Have been thinking of slime option. Still doesn't solve the problem of not being able to fit youngest in double kit and getting close to the limit on the cocoon (which has suprised me because she isn't long for her age really). It is only for 3 months really, I suppose I could try and keep her in a carrier till she is 6 months.

Is the nipper a side by side? Not really an option as the pavements are a little narrow really here.

Actually thinking about it, is it possible to use the lie flat mode of the main p&t seat without the cocoon for a 3 month old? i.e. using the straps I really should read the instruction manual I suppose.

That's what I was just going to say. Just use the seat without the cocoon. The cocoon is only really an optional extra and the lie flat seat is suitable from birth so just use that. As long as she's got s nice warm foot muff she'll be fine.

My friend moved her dd from cocoon to seat at about 4 months and it was fine, and she's tiny!

I have a P & T vibe and never bothered with a cocoon for my new born. I just used the p & t footmuff to keep him snug & with them being under the doubles kit they're relatively sheltered anyway.
