Bee (orginal model) car seat adaptors problem

We are about to have our 3rd baby and have a Bee (circa 2009) that we used for our DS2 once we moved on from double buggy stage. It is in good condition, got all accessories etc and ordered car adaptors BNIB from ebay, bought new cabriofix car seat and grrrrrr damn thing doesn't fit!

Does anyone have any suggestions - ie have they changed cabriofix in intervening years or something? We definitely don't have bee plus adaptors they are right for our model. John Lewis (who we bought car seat from) are saying problem with adaptors, bugaboo saying car seat at fault!

Are the adaptors maybe for the Bee Plus?

I know that the old maxi cosi citi, maxi cosi cabrio and maxi cosi pebble definitely all use the same adapter shape iyswim. However I did have a maxi cosi citi and used it on my buzz with the adapters and it was really tight. I often would end up leaving the adapters attached to the car seat and removing them from the chassis as they seemed stuck! I also used a cabrio on the exact same adapters and it was much easier. Could that be it, that it's just very tight?

Thanks for replies, after trying a few different seats at John Lewis we have found one that fits, seems these bits not that well made and some more compatible than others but sorted now!
