Now I've seen it and how it folds down, I'm sold. Plus I'm going to want to use it on rougher paths and a fair bit of walking so it seems better than many of the cheaper umbrella strollers and not much heavier than these - am I right?

If anyone is aware of any deals please let me know, I missed out on the Boots offers mentioned on here last week and I'm gutted esp as I have £50 in boots points to use.

It's brilliant and well worth the extra. I've got the 4-wheeler but I've also had a maclaren techno xt and it's far superior. I use it for the preschool run which is a 2-mile round walk and it's a really easy push through town, easily done one handed. This morning it's been into a ploughed field to collect 2 pumpkins - with front wheels locked it it was absolutely fine and i even managed to carry both the pumpkins in the basket afterwards!!

I got mine from baby equipment complete who were very competitive at the time - you'll need to call them for the latest prices I think.

Teaandbiscuits, thanks for that, now I'm even more keen. DH's current line is I have to sell my stokke first and I'm not sure if I'm ready to do that yet..why can't I have two especially when it folds up so tiny

I got mine to replace a bugaboo cameleon, which although a great pushchair, just didn't feel up to the demands I wanted it to do (v. worried it was going to break when my heavy 3 year old jumped on it to kiss his brother and didn't feel like it could take school bags hanging from the handles at all). The BJCM is such a great allrounder I really don't miss the bugaboo at all. Try and get dh to let you buy with the promise of selling the Stokke a few weeks later - at that point you may find you're more than happy to do that!

Ooh thanks teaandbiscuit, another question please in that case...I think my stokke goes up to 20.5kg which is a consideration because I have a 98th centile baby.

According to charts she will be just 21 months and 15kg if she continues to track this centile. The bjcm supports up to 15kg, do you think I can continue to use past this otherwise I'm going to get 10 months use out of it. First baby so not sure if they stay on the same line for good but she has tracked it. I notice they all go up to 15kg except bugaboo bee goes up to 17kg but it doesn't look that robust to me...

If you go and look at the babyjogger.com website and under the first tab at the top theres a specification chart somewhere. You will see the amounts that the US BJCM has been certified for. They are large weights. Here in the UK most pushchairs are only tested to 15kgs because that's what they need to go on sale here. Any more costs them more here.

Tiggy, that is really helpful - I had no idea - thanks.

Just to add a disclaimer! I am not saying that UK pushchairs should be used for more than the certified weight limit. Just that they don't need to be tested beyond 15kgs for sale.

If it's any help, I've had my tall 3.4 year old (91st centile height and weight) in mine and he fitted comfortably, even when reclined to sleep. The pushchair still felt rock solid with him in and I managed to push it one handed across grass whilst carrying my 10 month old too.

Thank you that does really help. DH says I can buy it and keep hold of the stokke for a bit, I just need to find a deal, there seems to be some reluctance to advertise price or some price fixing going on or something. I've emailed Boots to find out if they are getting more stock for the ones on promotion.
