Double buggy

Hi

can anyone recommend a double puschair / buggy? I'd like one that has the send child underneath, as the ones where the two children are side by side seem too wide. Mine are 19 months and 3 weeks old.

I think you have to go a fair way to beat the B-Dual for all round usability at present. The Baby Jogger City Select is good too and would probably get you through the first year but after that it might become heavy to use. If you ave the money, the Mima Kobi is beautiful to use and look at. The iCandy Pear isn't bad either. Or you could contemplate getting the Peach Blossom and swapping the Blossom kit next year for the new one and then it would probably last you longer than all the rest!

Hello, can anyone recommend a three wheeler double pushchair, as Larakhaz has with second child underneath, but is suitable for a tall toddler? My first is 90cm but not yet able to walk everywhere. A lot of the reviews for pushchairs comment on them not being good for tall toddlers but no one hints at what "tall" means. It needs to be suitable for the city and off road. Thank you!

the verve has four wheels but is good for off road and city, the hood slides up the frame to give lots of head room

Honestly there aren't many pushchairs that wouldn't accommodate a tall toddler. It's easier to tell you what to avoid. Don't get an umbrella style tandem ie MyChild Sienta Duo or Mothercare Hoxton because the toddler would be able to (or fairly soon) be able to reach the floor and paddle it along. The same goes for all stadium types eg Jane Powertwin, Kidz Kargo etc as a tall child can again drag their feet on the floor or stop the front wheel apart from the City Select which has other positions.
Good ones are the B-Dual (huge hood with extension pieces), Phil&Teds have large front seats (but think about storage). Go and look at //www.bestbuggy.co.uk as the two year old in the photos is very tall for her age around 95-99cms (99cms by 3). They are probably a good guide.

BTW it depends what you mean by off road. Almost all double pushchairs I have tried coped fine with everyday stuff grass, parks, thin bark chips, gravel, cobbles, pot holes etc. For really serious off road then look at the P&Ts Vibe (the Verve wheels bend in anything like sand or mud), or a Mutsy Duo, ABC Adventure Buggy or a side by side like the Nipper 360 or Twinner Twist Duo. You may find that two cheaper / second hand pushchairs - one for the town and one for off road, works better.
