How do you clean your BJCM? And what Footmuff do you have?

Mine is looking a bit grubby from the park, snack spills and general dirt magnetism of a 2 year old.

How have you cleaned yours? What did you use? Was it a nightmare?

I'm going to be getting a footmuff / snuggle so was also wondering what you've found fits well or what I should avoid ?

Thanks :)

The BJCM was really easy for me to clean but it got cleaned as soon as the mess was made IYKWIM! I simply took the fabric off, removed the PE board in the back (if you have one), stuck it under the shower and generally hosed it down. I bet you could use some washing up liquid or baby shampoo or something on it. I then hung the fabric and basket up to dry. However I realised later that Baby Jogger recommend you dry the fabric attached to the frame which makes sense. We have had Snunkies, Buggysnuggles and a Bugaboo Cocoon on our BJCM. I think anything that ties on is best though. Baby Jogger make gorgeous reasonably priced cosy toes. They are soft and furry inside.

My 3 year old was monumentally sick (and I mean monumentally!) in my BJCM double a few months back and after scraping the worst of it off, I removed the covers and took out any inserts (no pe board as 2010 model) and put it in the washing machine. Delicates wash with powder but no fabric conditioner. Had to go through twice to get rid of the smell but I put it back on the frame to dry and once dried it looked immaculate. All the poppers make it look harder to get off/on than it really is I think, actually quite straightforward.

I wasn't very impressed with the latest baby jogger footmuff so have a red stars buggy snuggle on order - thanks Tiggywunkle for the recommendation!

BTW the new 2011 Buggysnuggles have a slit in for the BJCM fold pull handle.

If my bjcm is only a little dirty, I Hoover out crumbs and wipe with a damp microfibre cloth. Otherwise it can be machine washed.
I have the baby jogger footmuff which fits nicely and has a slit for the pull handle, which also happens to help stop the snuggle bag slipping down.
It's nice quality and rain resistant too (though you'd need a raincover for a downpour or if out all day in wet weather.
The Alvi outlast snuggle bag from pushchairs.co.UK is much thicker and warmer if you need it, but it is bulkier.

Tiggy I didn't know that about the new buggysnuggles....wonder if that's the posh fur ones too. They look gorgeous, though v expensive!

Thanks Guys :)

Now I just have to pick a snuggle!

I do love the fur ones. Can I justify the expense though? I think I can....:o

My red/white star fur buggy snuggle arrived this morning and it's gorgeous. Fits a treat on the BJCM and looks good against the stone coloured seat. The shoulder straps sit well through the velcro holes and as Tiggywunkle says there;s a handy slot for the pull handle. I've tied it through the mesh at the top of the seat so hopefully this will stop it slipping. The material is really quite heavy weight and feels very soft - caught my little one stroking it earlier! I ordered it online through Mothercare using code NASR which got 15% off making it slightly less costly, but first impressions are that it's worth the extra.
