iCandy peach-what do you experts think?

On Sunday I found out that I'm having a baby boy & am thinking of the iCandy peach in sweetpea although I do still like the silver cross surf but liked it in pink, not 2 attracted to any other colours. As I am spending so much I want to get this right.
I have space to keep pram up all the time, will be doing the school run & walking to the shops etc. I don't drive. Already have car seat for car journeys we do make. I will be using the bus, tube & trains.

I've heard great things about the Peach. People rave about it.

I have got the peach and think its fab! It is quite wide though and doesn't fit down the aisle on trains, but that's fine, we just sat in the carriage with seats on the side. Had no problems on a bus. Don't bother buying the parasol, not great for sun cover. We have used ours on the beach, hillside walks and had no problems so far. If you use cars, we have found you can't fit both parts in the boot of small cars. So I out the chassis in the boot and the carry cot or buggy part in the back. Fits fine in a Golf and similar sized car.

I love the Peach. I have my second one at present and absolutely love it. It's one of my favourite singles. Comfy seat, large basket, big hood, feels great in your hand, pushes easily, easy to put up and down, large hood and more. Fantastic Pushchair!

Not an expert by any means but I am a satisfied Peach owner! DS (10 m) loves the pram and is very comfy in it. I also bought the carrycot attachment as DS was a winter baby and it kept him nice and snug for 5 months and he is tall for his age.

I could fit the whole pram in my Seat Ibiza without removing any wheels just by placing the seat on top of the wheels and this also worked while we were using the carrycot. I now have a Polo, which has a smaller boot and I can still fit in both parts of the pram but I do need to pop a wheel off. Doubt I would get the carrycot in there on top of the wheels though, but seat unit fits fine.

I get loads of compliments on the pram and other peach owners always give you a little nod for being "in the club"!

It is expensive but totally worth it, I just wish that they had managed to invent a scrach-proof frame, but this isnt a deal breaker and as long as you dont fling it about the place, you shouldnt get too many scratches on it. They aren't really visible anyway unless you are looking for them, thats just me being particular!

I would recommend John Lewis as a retailer, they price match other stores (though not online) and their aftercare is good - I just took my wheels in as there was a tiny hole in the foam handle, and ICandy wouldn't repair for free as the handle is only covered under warranty for 6m, John Lewis are paying for the repair themselves.

HTH

I have the Apple and much prefer the look of it, the Peach looks a bit blingy. They look like much the same pushchair otherwise.
