Genuine BJ Accessories or Not?

Hi there, have searched the talk archives for the answer to this question, but am still undecided.

Need to buy a footmuff and raincover for my new Baby Jogger City Mini; does anyone have any experience of using the genuine products Vs cheaper versions?

For example, Next do the BJCM footmuff for £40, but John Lewis do their own version for £20. Is it worth paying double just for a little slot for the pull-handle?

Any help greatly appreciated!

No, it's not worth spending more for a slot as it's simple enough to slide your hand under any footmuff and pull. But make sure you can tie the top on or else it will slide down. The new Baby Jogger are gorgeous though and are worth £40 to be honest. I think I have the Baby Jogger raincover but I don't think it's ever been used! The hood and footmuff have been enough for any sudden showers!

Thanks Tuggy ...

Bump.

C'mon, anyone else any experiences please? Before I go ahead and order the John Lewis one?

I got the BJ one because it stays in place as is anchored in position by the pull handle. Also the BJ one is waterproof. It means I don't need to carry a raincover with me just incase. It's worth the money if you can afford the BJ one for the above reasons.
