Bugaboo Bee or Icandy Cherry? Which is best for country and town?

Hi everyone. I'm trying to work out which to buy for our first baby. We've narrowed it down to these two but I'm not sure the bugaboo bee will be any good for country walks and then I've read some reviews that the icandy cherry breaks quite easily....I just want something that I can use from birth, is light, easy to fold (I live in a basement so have stairs to contend with) and something that is suitable for town and country. Any advice really appreciated. thanks all.

If your baby isn't due for a couple more months, I would highly recommend the iCandy strawberry. It has the iCandy good looks combined with chunkier wheels and it folds in one piece one handed so you should be able to tuck the baby under one arm and fold carry the pushchair with the other. iCandy Strawberry

Looks great, thanks - I'm due in 8 weeks though, so not sure it's available yet. One to watch out for though.

I've had both cherry and bee+ (some pics on my profile) bee+ I would say though neither are suitable for country walks you would need a three wheeler for that. Cherry is nice and light but is a two priece fold, bulky I found when folded and to be honest felt very 'cheap' even thought they are not! Bee+ I love, I hated the orig bee but this is bigger, folds in one piece, easy to carry up the stairs with baby in it I would say.

Both are ok over a bit of grass in a park but neither will cope with muddy lanes, cobbles etc. If you do a lot of walking over fields, in the woods, on the beach etc a three wheeler is what you then need (MB are fab fab fab!!!)

You can get a carrycot for the cherry but the cocoon on the bee+ is just as snug and protected for a newborn. I had my cameleon as I love carrycots but even that is suposed to be all terrain but it really is not!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the minefield that is choosing a pushchair grin

In all honesty there is no 'perfect' pushchair and you will always find fault with one or another. I had 5 in 3 years with my son and thinking back I could've saved myself a lot of money and time just buying a sturdy pushchair for walks and a smaller one for car/public transport or days out.

The Bee+ is fine for aaround town but not so much for those who walk a lot or anything other than smooth streets as the wheels are tiny and will not manage over bumps or rough terrain.

The Cherry again is okay and probably the better of the two for walking but the two piece fold will be a pain even if you don't think so now.

If you only want one pushchair then I'd suggest The Bebecar Ip-Op because it pushes lovely on almost any terrain and it is pretty lightweight and compact, the seat faces both ways and lays completely flat so no need for seperate carrycot, it also folds in one piece quite easily.
