Is it worth it getting BJCM 2011?

Anyone with a BJCM 2011, is the upright strap and harder back worth it for the extra money?

I've bought a BJCM but it doesn't have the above and I'm wondering whether I should return it and spend a little more for those features (link here showing what they are).

I could always stick a hard insert into the back but it's the upright strap that is bothering me, my baby likes to sit up and watch everything. I guess I could buy the belly bar though...

What do you think?

I think you can buy the board insert separately. At least you can in the usa. Try phoning baby jogger.

i received my bjcm 2011 on friday yay! i've bought the carrycot too as i intend to use it for my newborn (arriving in a month). however, i have put my 3yrs 5 month old son in it and there is loads of room. re your specific question, i didn't attach the extra upright straps whilst he was in it and i thought he was quite upright enough. the back board is probably a good update though. i wonder if without it, the whole thing would be a little 'hammock-y'?

I had the BJCM and never had an issue with the seating position alth9ough it was for our DS who was 2 when we got it.

Also don't quite see the point in the board unless it changed and is now changing again as gthe back on ours was hard and not hammock type at all (I.E it did'nt sway or anything when being pushed around) although it was a PITA to get used to it when lying down because I had to walk quite far back from the pushchair as the handle is so close to the pram itself so would knee the seat back Blush
