pushchairs with bars - yes or no?

We were given a 2nd hand pushchair for my baby (now 6 months) which has with a bar that she likes to put her feet on and hold onto. Just bought a new one - a maclaren- but realised it has no bar. Any advice on whether this is a good thing or bad before I open the box???
Thanks

You can buy the bumper bar for a Maclaren from kiddicare.com if you wanted one for it.

They are not necessary though, I don't have one on my Maclaren.

I had one on my Xplory but took it off as it's a pain in the rear end to feed dd's legs through it.

I have never quite got it with the bars. They don't really seem to do much, but oh well, If a product comes with one then bonus, but i would never go out of my way to buy one for a product to be honest. Hope this is some help.

Me and my daughter love pushchairs with bars...I bought one that fits on my Bee Plus...Thinking of buying a Maclaren bumper bar to see if it'll fit on my Maclaren Superdreamer...I think it makes seats look more comfortable as it gives LO leverage to wiggle around.
