5 month old howls in buggy - is rearfacing the answer?

DC3 is not happy in the buggy
I only have forward facing options

Is rear facing worth a try?

If so what should I buy?
Might need to take it on a plane but otherwise folding not an issue

Hiya,

sorry to hear this...what pushchair do you have?

DD2 was in the Bug Frog and HATED being in the carrycot at this stage, she didn't like being flat on her back.

When I switched to seat or used the car seat, she was happy...just a thought? x

my little one hated facing away from me. Why not try to get a cheap silver cross wayfarer off ebay so you can try him facing you and see if it makes a difference. Also a lot of babies this age prefer to be carried. Look at the connecta baby carrier or scootababy hip carrier. They are really comfy even with heavy toddlers!

Hi, my DD was the same, I bought a rear facer and no more screaming, she was getting really distraught forward facing.
We still rearface at 18 mo most of the time so we can have a chat :)

One of the best decisions I made was to buy a rear facing pushchair especially as I then discovered all the research on how it is better for them to face their parent :)

What is your budget? I have a Bugaboo Cam and Bee plus, both are fab, and you could get a frog or something off ebay if you wanted something cheaper?
