hello!
i need help, im about to spend a FORTUNE on a buggy and im having second thoughts...
i have an old phil and teds e3, but my daughter bashes her head on the smaller seat, she's 2 and ds is due early september,
i need a tandem, i dont think a double would fit through our front door!
i'd like to be able to see lo whilst dd face's out, and convert to a single as i'll be babywearing sometimes, and i doubt dd will be in the buggy for more than a year...

im thinking of the baby jogger city mini or perhaps an icandy, any info on either of those OR alternitives please! TIA

I was supposed to pick my city select up this month but we ran into other commitments so can't get it until next month so unfortunately can't tell you exactly what it's like yet!

Have a look at The thread below about double prams. Someone has posted a link which compares the city select with the iCandy and there's some pretty cool pics.

hi,the the second seat lies flat. i have choose this over a p&ts and city jogger double. it is so light. Also either child can go in either seat, which you crnt do with p&ts. So my dd will be 19mnts wen bump arrives so she can sit in front till buumo is old enough to sit, then she can just hop in and out ouf back seat if she wants. My dd is tall to and she fits in second seat, and it will lay back while she naps. It also works with a car seat. I love it!

we got it for all in 450 i think?

£349.99 for pram(100 off the black in mothercare)

89.99 second seat

raincover 24.99

footmuff 49.99 for baby.its like a little coccon.

then we joined the baby club and got £45 extra off it.

There is also the OBaby Zoom from their Zynergi range. It is a sturdy tandem, it looks large but is easy to manouevre and push around shops etc. The two seat units can be moved to face whichever way you want them to be and there is plenty of leg room for the little ones. Worth having a look at and its a very reasonable price too. The Baby Jogger City Select is also an awesome pushchair. Easy to push, folds down very easily, has brake on the chassis and has 16 combinations if used with the second seat. Try your small local independent baby/pram shop as they may be able to give you an even better deal than the likes of Mothercare!!!!!

you can get the b-dual cheaper on sale in boots and you get tripple points £319 and £79 for the buggy and toddler seat. it does look fab, i was tempted as both seats lay flat, i did go and have a look at it. be aware it is wider than an average single though but that makes it more stable than the phil and teds. i would buy it instead of a phil and teds anyday (i have had quite a few phil and teds over the years - every version except the dash)
i went for the city select as i have twins and will be using it as a double longer.

Haha, I know the lady who wrote that review (online anyway)

I was just coming on to piggyback the thread, my friend is after advice (not the lady who wrote the review, a RL friend) - she has just had her second baby and her first is 22 months old. She had a "Safety 1st" tandem buggy, but it's snapped with less than 5 weeks' use, so understandably she doesn't want another one! She is currently using a maclaren twin techno and her DS1 seems happier in that - he holds her DS2's hand as they are riding along Also he could escape out of the Safety 1st buggy which wasn't great.

She is thinking of getting a Phil and Teds now but isn't sure, so I said I would ask on here for her. I had forgotten about the BJCS - it looks really good. How does it compare in price to the P&T? And is it available through John Lewis, as that is where she had the Safety 1st pram from in the first place.
