Anyone have 4 children sharing one bedroom??

My friend lives in a 3 bedroom house and has 4 children. She has 3 boys in 1 room and the baby and her brother in another room. She would love another one but is concerned it would be unfair on the other children as it would mean 4 of them would have to share one bedroom.

Depends on the size of the room. As long as everyone has a bed and room to breathe, whatever.

Does not sound great to me. When they get older it will be dreadful to have 4 teenagers in one room. If she can't afford a bigger house I'd think she needs to stop at the 4 she already has. Can't the brother move on and free up some space?

I suppose if it's all they've ever known they will be fine.

Mind you, 5 children in a 3 bedroom house would be my idea of a nightmare tbh. Good job we're all different!

We had a similar dilemma when we had DS and moved to this house. Either 2 of the DDs would share a room and no playroom (tiny lounge) or the 3 of them in together and the other room as a playroom. We went for all 3 in together and they love it.

Sounds very full and busy; not sure I could cope.

However, it is up to them - if they can manage ok witht he space, or lack of.

My mum was one of 6 and lived in a 3 bed house. There were 5 of them - 4 girls and a baby/toddler boy - in one double room for quite a while. The older boy had the box room, where only one could fit. The 5 had two bunks and then a small makeshift bed.
