Oven cleaning: How much?

ampere · 27/10/2009 17:11

Been in this renter 5 months. The oven was in 'OK' condition at the start. Need to do a 'Deposit return' clean.

I confess other than a quick wipe, I haven't given it a good clean at all! I also haven't used it a huge amount but it has had roasts and toad-in-hole food in it thus needs 'attention'.

How much do firms like 'Cookaburra' charge to clean the inside of an over?

TIA.

I had mine done by Ovenu and it was £78. Worth every penny....we are in London though but my MiL (who lives Liverpool way) had hers done by a similar firm and they charged her £50.

I swear by 'oven pride' costs £3.50 or something - you just leave it on overnight and wipe it off - it comes with a bag to put the racks in -
Its easy as anything, no scrubbing required

Anya, my oven is looking a bit grim and was going to hire someone to clean it but never heard of Ovenpride, is it available in supermarkets?

Wilkinsons sell it so I guess SMs must. We used it on my dads - you couldn't tell there was glass in the door before

Our local place costs £50 odd, well worth it.
