Sofa.com claim to deliver very quickly. If you live in London they have a showroom in Chelsea by the river. We were about to buy from them but I found a pinker one elsewhere!

i'm in glasgow, i've been to sofa.com but didn't really like their stock... and they don't seen to do recliners, which is a pity.

looked at sofasofa ones when they had the showroom in b'ham and just felt they weren't great quality - and if the showroom ones were like that...

Having said that they have sofasofa ones in the self catering accom on the farm we stay at in Cornwall, and the ones in the 3 cottages we have stayed in seem to be wearing well.

I have very nearly ordered from them a number of times, but was put off by the ones in the b'ham showroom, and then by not being able to see them.

Have just ordered from dfs, 8 week delivery, but they also have some items on express delivery.

Does it have to be a website? I popped into harveys on thursday, i had heard they sometimes have sofas in stock that have been misordered or people have changed mind etc.
Found a gorgeous 4 piece suite, they knocked £580 off the price and delivered the next day. They couldnt use the official delivery company for some strange insurance reason, but they arranged a 'man in a van'

also depending on where you live places like
trade secret
top secret
homebrands
which sell high street brands at about 50% - they are customer returns (not wanted rather than faulty) and you take pot luck with what is there - but it is also immediate.

thanks for the advice!!! i'll check all those out...

interesting what you say about sofasofa and poor quality, but i presume they do returns if you're not happy with it. tricky buying online with some things!!

If quick delivery is important I go the shop and just ask what they have in stock or with next day delivery, then pick from what they show you.

yes, they do returns - but you will suffer the delivery cost.

Does anyone know about the company Sofas In Stock? They appear to be UK based, but I don't think they're launching till December... I just found them on Facebook, looks like they have Colin and Justin involved!

Might be worth keeping an eye out.
