Who do I get in to a) lay a wood effect floor, and b) repair one?

Perhaps a stupid question but ARE they likely to be one and the same person??

We are HOPEFULLY about to buy: We want to change bedroom 2's ageing carpet for engineered wood flooring (hobby room) but we also want some laminate flooring in the dining area looked at: We're not entirely sure what it IS (laminate or engineered) but it's dark, but faded where the light from outside used to strike it, pre-conservatory. The issue is we're not THERE yet but we do want someone in asap when we buy (we rent thus have leeway) to sort both.

Is yer average floorer likely to be able to do all that?

CAN you 'restain' real laminate? Or would the fact it's faded indicate it's real wood (ie engineered)?

my bro would do both, but he's (boast alert) not the average floorer, he's a national assessor grin

what area are you in [ish]?
