Hi. Don't want anything fancy - just (we think) plain with modern handles, There are 10 floor to ceiling doors. How much do you think it will cost plus the carpenter's time? And does anyone have any site that shows examples of these? Thanks

I'd get a quote from a joiner / carpenter TBH - it will be cheaper getting it done professionally perhaps than doing it yourself as they can buy the stuff cheaply and also make a professional job.

I had a carpenter build me two two-door MDF and wood wardrobes into the alcoves in our bedroom. He charged £600 including materials (but we were on mates rates so to anyone else it would prob be a bit more).
Not the same exactly but hope it gives you some idea.
if it's just doors you're after, he can get the mdf pre-cut to your measurements from the builder's merchants so then he just needs to hang them. Shouldn't take much more than a day.

If you are in London -

Please take a look at my husbands website if you choose to have them made by a joiner.

Thanks

Jali are good, they make all sorts of MDF cupboards and things. Go on www.jali.co.uk for a look

How about ledge and brace doors instead? Basic ones are easy for a carpenter to knock up and you'd have nice solid wood then. I got four made by a local timber merchant at a dirt-cheap £25 a door.
