Please help me choose an accent wall colour for my hallway...

I have painted it white, but would like the wall with the window on it to be a different colour.

Any suggestions? I'm rubbish at making a decision!

TIA

Is it generally quite dark (as hallways quite aften are) or does it have a lot of natural light?

Is it narrow or wide?

Whats the floor covering /colour?

Any furniture/pictures in there?

It is naturally v light. The floor is stripped floorboards, with a hessian coloured carpet on the stairs. Lots and lots of family pics on the wall leading up the stairs, with a 1.25 m wide window at the top of the stairs.

I just can't decide what goes with white! I was thinking powder blue, but thought it may be a bit cold??

sorry -went out with the DC on a spur of the moment thing.

It sounds as though you're not going to be limited by anything thats already there as it all sounds light and neutral - you get away with anything (which is probably what you don't want to hear!)

Have a look at the Dulux site especially under the inspiration section. Its quite handy for getting ideas as you often spot a colour scheme that grabs you.

Have you been quite bold with colour elsewhere in the house?

Thanks ND that's really helpful, I like Willow Tree - soft warm green.
