A house was on the market last year but was taken off as it didn't sell. It is now back on the market again - are there any websites where I can check to see what it was marketed at before?

Thank you

No, you could try Googling sometimes old property details come up.

If you chat up an estate agent they have access to different data from rightmove than is shown to the public on the website.

Either tha or just ask the agent If they won't tell you then ask why not.

Can you see the street view from google map? You might be able to see the board and then search online as some agents don't delete old records. If you know the agent already, then it's easier....

I haven't tried it but I've heard PropertyBee does that sort of thing.

Double bluff - say to the agent, "I'm a bit surprised that it is on for more than it was last year. I know one of the neighbours and he said they couldn't sell it for £xxx 12 months ago." See what agent says.

Property bee does do that. Link us to the rightmove page and I will tell you.

You could go and look at old local newspapers in the library around the time it was on sale. The old price will be on the advert in the property section. It will be easier to find in the old newspaper if you can remember the agent that was marketing it as house selling adverts are usually grouped by agent.

Propert bee only works with houses that have ben continuoulsy marketed (I think) and it does not work with things taken off the market and brought back on.

PropertySnake - it shows the history of changes of asking prices/on and off the market etc. I'm not sure if it would also show what was going on in the previous marketing period if there has been a break ... but maybe worth a try?

Just ask the agent - they volunteered this info to me!

Thanks all. I already use property bee & it does not show previous details if it has been taken off the market for a while. I did ask the agent what price it had been marketed at before & he said £425k but I am sure it was £400k. Not bothered though as we viewed the house & it is defo not for us. On with the search...
