Painting inside the conservatory?

It's a funny one as we have an ancient upvc conservatory which goes across the back of our end terrace house; it's attached both ends to 'real' brick walls so really only the roof and one long side are upvc.

I want to paint the walls which are brick painted magnolia they're not plastered or anything and there is a wierd damp patch on the party wall end, my question is, do I use exterior paint?

Thanks for all help, I am going to buy paint and do it tomorrow as well as regrout the gopping tiles!

Please please please?

Dh is coming home next weekend and I really want to have the place looking a bit brighter. I am going to plump for exterior paint and cross my fingers!

I think this issue is that you are painting bricks and they suck up a lot of paint, it's not like painting a plastered wall. I would think interior paint would be fine as it's not going to get rained on etc, but I would ask advice in the DIY store.

Walls are indoors though, no?

I'd have thought normal indoor paint will be fine. Unless the existing paint is gloss or something funny. It's not going to be rained on or frozen is it?

The damp patch is another matter and even exterior paint won't stop it coming through.

IMHO

Hurrah, thanks!

Yes, walls are inside and have already had about 3 previous coats of paint from what I can make out. It's more that I thought brick might need a special finish or that it gets extremes of temp in high summer and depths of winter.

Anti mould bathroom paint maybe... I'd ask but I'm only going to the Range and they're not usually terribly knowledgeable in there.

didn't realise already painted bricks - won't suck so much paint up now!
