packing boxes - where to get them?

i've asked at my local shops and they hardly use boxes anymore so i'm going to have to buy some. If i don't start packing soon i'll never get it done in time......

so can anyone recommend somewhere online to get good quality and reasonably priced boxes?

Argos do them- a small pack and a large pack - about £40 I think for 12-ish

My sister recently got some on Freecycle. Worth a try!

I got mine from big yellow storage co

here

I thought it was quite pricey for what was essentially cardboard! But they were very sturdy boxes

I am looking into the same issue queenrollo. Argos seem quite expensive compared to others. There is a company online called A1 Box Co, who seem to reasonably priced packs but haven't ordered mine yet so can't vouch for them!

thankyou! i will probably end up free-cycling them after i use them, but haven't had any joy getting some for myself on there. We have lots of books and cd's so i need to make a start.

Definitely try freecycle. We have a loft full of the things and I would give them to anyone sufficiently local who wanted them.

We got some of those ones from the big yellow storage company and they were OK but not a patch on the Pickfords ones.

..or ebay. Look for double-walled boxes though for moving.

(and lastly, find an independent grocer. Banana boxes and apple boxes still exist - just not for supermarkets)
