Bathroom lights

Apart from the round ones, which sit close to the ceiling, has anyone seen any other bathroom lights?
We are doing up our downstairs WC and it doesn't feel that there are many styles available.
Do we need to go for a bathroom specific light there?
Thanks!

if it is just a loo then you aren't going to get condensation issues like you do in a bathroom - so you can probably get an ordinary light in there.

bathroom lights are very specific, you can only use certain ones depending on how far from the taps/bath they are. www.lighting-direct.co.uk are good IME. if you are doing electrical bathroom stuff i strongly advise putting a demister pad behind the mirror - dirt cheap and stop the mirror misting up when you havea shower. also if lighting a mirror for makeup/eyebrow plucking then put two downlights in the ceiling about six inches out from the wall (so between your nose and the mirror) AND two lights along the side of the mirror. you will never leave the hosue with a hair sprouting from your chin again.

computer says no - you don't need bathroom specific lighting. I am going to get a black chandelier for my downstairs loo!
