How much do decorators charge?

DH is DIY shy, and am sick of promises to ?get around to it?, so wondered how much basic wall-paper stripping, re-papering with lining paper and painting with one colour of paint in one room would cost, on average.

I know this depends on size of room, but am thinking of a small double bedroom, with double bed, two beside tables, one wardrobe and a computer table (and very little floor space after all that!).

Very simple job, which I could do myself in the day time, but very difficult with DS under foot!

I know I should call around for quotes, but don?t want to waste my time if it?s going to be expensive.

Mine charged £135 a day last year, but I think that included materials (ie paint).
