Bosch vs Neff oven

Hello
I am choosing ovens for my new kitchen. I have narrowed down to similar models with Bosch and Neff. Which one do you like better, Bosch or Neff?
Is slide and hide a useful feature? The model with a sliding tray is not available.

Combination oven Bosch CMG633BS1B vs Neff C17MR02N0B

The first one is a microwave combi oven. The second one isn’t as far as I can see. So they are not comparable in my view. Do you need a microwave combi oven? I have one as a second oven. Sits with my main oven which is a Miele snd fantastic.

I had a hide and slide in my last house and really liked it

One difference we noticed between Neff and Bosch was that Neff ovens will only grill with the door shut.
We have a Bosch combi plus main oven and are happy with it.

I have a hide and slide and it’s been fine. Our Siemens dishwasher and induction hob though have caused us issues. Wouldn’t go with that brand again.

Oh and our kitchen company advised against using JL for ovens as they let you buy out of stock items and that can hold everything up while you wait. We used AO instead.

That’s true. Our grill has to have the door shut.

Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all the same company - so functionality and quality will be the same
I’ve just bought two neff ovens having switches from Bosch. Easy to use, functionality is good - we have a separate microwave
I had similar to the £869 one in my last kitchen and the dial to adjust the temperature was really annoying - you had to use your finger to turn it and it was hard to turn
The neff oven I’ve just got, you push and turn a knob and it’s so much easier - it fits flush into the panel

In terms of ordering we did it well in advance of fitting - we had to change a few items - dishwashers were all out of stock on John Lewis and found a fridge freezer on AO instead

With JL, I would also wait until after Christmas to buy. My DD got an amazing deal from them for her Oven. They fitted her kitchen later but she snapped up the oven at a very good price. It’s an AEG but similar in build quality as Bosch etc. None are the build quality of Miele.

We have the Bosch - Very good, huge interior space and I like the wire racks that are flat at front so I can slide full dishes out with one hand instead of having to get hold of them properly to lift over a lip that some have. However, the controls sometimes don’t seem to respond to my finger touch when I’m being impatient (sometimes smart screens are the same) - but if I wait or wet my finger it’s fine.
I love the combi - does brilliant jacket pots in 15 mins and I use it as a regular oven a lot if I don’t have many things to bake.
Never used neff.

I am planning a kitchen at the moment too and have been looking at the Neff slide and hide. They get such great reviews.

I was going to go for two full size single ovens and then put a microwave in the larder cupboard as we don’t use ours loads. I want to be able to cook a full roast dinner with the roast, potatoes, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets etc! And I’m not sure a single oven and combi oven would have enough shelves to do all that?

See I can’t agree with that statement. Our Neff and Bosch products have been fine. Our Siemens products have given us lots of issues. The dishwasher pretty much ceased to function in year 3.

I had the Neff Slide and Hide and the Neff Combi oven/microwave fitted about five years ago and have been really happy with both. The pyrolytic cleaning function is excellent. The only thing with it as PP said that the door needs to be shut to grill. The combi oven had loads of functionality including a grill. I went Neff for every appliance and the only one that's had an issue is the warming drawer which broke outside of guarantee.

Thanks a lot for the information. It's really difficult to get hold of any stock at the moment. I may have to order with whoever can deliver before the fitting date.

I bought a new built-in oven last month.

First had a look online made a shortlist. Then went down to Currys and looked at them/pressed buttons/opened doors. I ended up not liking the ones I'd been most impressed with online (AEG/Neff/Bosch)

Bought a Zanussi from Currys online and very happy with it. Delivery with installation 2 weeks .

If you have the space for two full size single ovens next to each other, why don't you fit a microwave above one oven? I suppose you are not fitting two full size on top of each other?
I thought about buying a double oven and then leave the microwave in the larder, I gave up the idea because I probably will use the microwave a lot less if it's hidden. A combination oven also gives the advantage of cooking food quicker.

@ToExtendOrNotToExtend we are putting two full size single ovens one on top of the other, only need a slightly larger aperture in the housing unit than a double oven or a single and combi. Don’t want them side by side as I would have to sacrifice one of my tall units then.

I’ve got Neff slide & hide. You don’t have to shut the door to use the grill function.

Is this only with some versions?

We have the hide and slide with the microwave/grill oven stacked on top. With the microwave/grill you have to keep the door shut.

I have decided to go for Neff if available. Both are good brands and good appliances. I have never used slide and hide, will see how I get on with it.

If ease of turning the buttons is important to you, Neff (and CDA) are much easier than Bosch, Zanussi, AEG. And the doors seem lighter and less stiff too. OTOH I guess the easier ones are less childproof.
