I only realised recently that Habitat is now owned by sainsbury’s. I only realised when I looked on their website when looking for a new sofa.

I remember going to their stores years ago. They had some nice things in those days -
not really high end but mid range I guess, with nice designs. It’s weird when a shop keeps its name but changes identity like that!

It's going to happen a lot more as high street stores go bust. Eg didn't Topshop and Dorothy Perkins get bought to be online only brands?
