Hi all, have any of you sourced panels for feature wall in bedroom like picture attached??

Was it pricey? Easy to get put up?

Thanks!

i can see you have no replies so will have a go.
On the basis that a normal custom headboard would be around £450, I think this would be around £1000. The easiest way to get a price would be to ask a local upholsterer to give you a price (with measurements of width and ceiling height).
You could try it yourself if you are feeling brave/good at DIY.
However the picture you show is in a huge room, probably a hotel. It has been done with a very consciously 70s vibe with the mirrored walls and coving pelmet. The ottoman mirrors the bed head, The curtains are matching the ottoman and bed head and they are all very neutral. It is all quite considered and hard to pull off in a "normal" house. Maybe you don't have a normal house? I don't know.

Can’t answer your question but it seems a real haven for dust mites

Thanks both, you know, I never considered dust mites!! Something toconsider, the cleaning upkeep!
Have been on etsy and seen that people make them on there too.

I don't know if this would happen but makes me think the room would get warm very quickly with that on the walls.
And yes keep it clean would be headache I could do without. And if you plan to sell the house, think it would be off-putting.

This was the bedroom I was looking to recreate (picture attached)
Though now I'm second guessing myself 😄

yes to keeping it clean being a pain.
yellow head marks anyone.
tbh I would go with a lower, easy to clean and comfy for reading headboard and then possibly a wallpaper with the desired effect.

Have a look at manwithahammer on Instagram. He's just started what looks like a similar project - big upholstered headboard

If you like it, go for it! You could always just get an extra tall headboard if you didn't want to go the whole hog.

Could you get 2 (or 3) 6ft headboards and use them vertically instead of horizontally iyswim?

The first pic with evenly spaced panels looks better.

might be a fire hazard, too.

This exact picture is from a ebay listing so not hard to source if that's what you want:

The house we moved into recently has this in 3 of the bedrooms and it looks really good. As for dust mites....do you not clean regularly? 😬 Yellow head marks... do you not wash your hair regularly? 😬

Can't imagine it would be more dust-mitey than sofa/mattress etc.
