Is end of May completion possible?

Im stressing out but feel like im the only one. I think I need some outside perspective.

We are (i thought) coming to an end of our sale and purchase. We are a chain of 4, our buyers, us, vendors, and their seller who is buying a new build, but the house she is selling is empty as she is living with relatives. We agreed with our vendor for a 28th completion this month all being well with the last few enquiries that were needed to be answered. Our sale is done. Our buyer, us and vendors have their mortgage offers ,searches back etc. We have quotes for removals/trying to plan moving with 2 children under 3 and 2 cats...

However our vendor told us monday he had not received his fixture and fittings forms for his purchase yet! When we offered, he told us his purchase was a private sale, she was going to buy a new build already built, so chain was complete. This was end of feb.

He claims his solicitor says 28th may is doable.

How on earth has it been 2.5 months with no forms?? How can they get this done in time?

Is it possible? Do I need to calm down?

Calm down it is doable. I mean this stuff could be sorted by the end of the week if need be. I'd recommend that you speak to your solicitor and inform them 28th May needs to become a firm date due to all the circumstances you describe and that they need to make sure the rest of the chain are in order by then.

We in the end exchanged 2 days before we completed due to our seller not having her purchase in order. Not ideal and all very stressful but it still happened.

Is there a sales progression manager involved anywhere along the chain?
