Does this quote sound reasonable?

London area - Garden work.

41 sqm supply and installation of Indian sandstone paving.

Supply and installation of 12 sections of closeboard fence panels with concrete posts and concrete gravel boards.

Supply and installation of recess drain cover.

Removal of existing shed and all contents (lot of rubbish in there) Also all garden waste and old fencing removal.

It's a lot of work as existing paving need removing (no side access as a small terraced house)

Quote came back at £5833.

Does this sound reasonable? I'm trying to get a couple more people in to quote to compare but landscapers seem to be in demand at the moment!

Thanks

Smile

That's around the ball park of what I paid in London 3 years ago.

We paid £8k for:

  • back garden (was previously all gravel) to have astroturf fitted
  • yorkstone laid
  • fence installed
  • front garden yorkstone laid + Victorian path (the path labour was £1.5k)

If you are near North London please PM me and I'll send you the name of the guy we used. He was amazing :)

Yes that does sound reasonable to me and I live way outside London! In fact I'd say really good price for supplying materials too.

Sounds very reasonable. We paid similar outside of London for a smaller patio about 8-10 years ago (although in a new place so prep needed to be done).

Sound very cheap to me, given what's being done and how much the raw materials will be costing.
