Hi there, so our bathroom desperately needs a coat of paint. It's magnolia from the house being new 16 years ago and it's all so beige 🤦♀️ We will redo the room at some stage but not soon so I need to work with the nasty wall tiles and ok floor tiles. I'm going to get a new bath panel as this one has yellowed but the rest of the furniture is ok for now. There's a decently big window in the middle of the room on a south west angle. Thoughts on colours ??!
And I'm going to get better accessories and a nicer light
If you’re not selling for a while and like bright colours then I’d get a complementary blue or green that goes with the two tile colours.
I’d then paint the bath nook that colour and keep in the rest in white /cream that I work and bring the bright colour through with accessories. If I was feeling adventurous I might try using diagonals to section the room off and change how the eye draws.
If selling I’d paint off white and have my fun with the pictures on the wall.
Green would work, I'd go for a lovely pale sage. Have a look at Wilko whispering sage, I think they do a bathroom paint in it.
I’m with Premiumbond a mid tone turquoise would be lovely. Dulux do a light reflecting paint in a lovely turquoise shade. I have used it before and it goes on beautifully.
I’m also with the idea of painting the bath alcove in the colour and having the rest white. Maybe some indoor plants as well.
