Agent asking me constantly to do viewing when I've asked them

House is on the market. I work 7am to 6pm, have kids and dogs etc and asked and agreed the agent would do ALL viewings.

So far, they want me to do 3 viewings in the evenings later this week, one at 1pm Friday and 2 on a Saturday. They are saying they can't do those times. I really just want to take the kids out and let them get on with it. Am I being unreasonable??
Surely for their £10K plus fee -I paid for the photos privately etc -they can do the viewings I've asked?

Do you or the agent do viewings? I'm finding it all too stressful and would prefer to nip out for 30 minutes even with the dogs and kids in the car and let them do it.

No they're taking the piss, viewings should always be included. Plus it's the estate agents job to know what to say and how to sell a house and get feedback.

I hate when I view houses and it's led by the home owner or when my house was up for sale and I had to do some myself. It's uncomfortable.

I'd push back and let them know they need to arrange viewings when they have someone available because you can't do it yourself with the kids/dogs commitment (which is 100% fair).

Are you paying extra for them to do the viewings? If you want to sell your house and they can't provide someone at the times the potential buyers have requested then I don't think it is unreasonable of them to ask if you would do them. It is you who wants to sell so if you can't accommodate this then you may miss a potential sale. I do realise may be coming from the standpoint of the Scottish system where, in my experience, it is more usual for the vendor to do the viewings.

Bloody hell, £10k should include doing all your viewings, that's for sure! I would renegotiate the fee if they cannot do viewings.

Our agent did all the viewings. One I sold years ago in the end agent gave up on it and got me to do viewings but when they do that (other than odd one) its time to change agent if you are not stuck in contract atm. £10k is a lot. Mine was 0.75 plus vat, photos and viewings included albeit not the best photos and replacement ones were taken by agent who forget to put the lights on in October

I always show people around when viewing , too much faffing about with ea doing it and having to go out , If they offer on it , second viewing I just let them wander round and we sit in the garden then answer any questions after . Simple .

Can't say I've every felt uncomfortable viewing any house with the homeowner there ?

I pushed back this morning and said no I'm not doing it -suprisingly or maybe not so much, they have now managed to rearrange all the viewings and do them all themselves.
