Another vote for satin for cleaning purposes.
I find eggshell holds dirt more and is difficult to clean. Satinwood not so bad.
Doors are prone to grubby fingers touching around the opening edge.
My painter recommended eggshell 8 years ago and I really like it. All of my doors and woodwork are eggshell.
Thanks
Would you consider a colour? We viewed a gorgeous old cottage with whitewashed walls and sagey-grey-green internal doors and frames. Looked amazing.
We also viewed a very modern house with white walls and dark grey internal doors.
Paint was probably eggshell, not completely Matt but no shine either
Another vote for eggshell here. Little bit more sheen than matt but quite a bit less than gloss.
Yes satinwood or eggshell (almost the same thing).
If using white or a pale colour then choose a water based paint or it will yellow.
Satin finish is lovely. We use Crown Quick Dry Satin in pure brilliant white
I have loads of internal doors to paint in my old cottage. Any ideas for alternatives to shiny gloss type finish? Are clay paints an option?
