We are looking to get a small orangery/conservatory added to the back of our house. It will be quite small (not much more than 3m x 3m). We would ideally like to have the doors between the dining room and the conservatory removed, to give a more open plan feel, and because our french doors are quite wide and so we'd need to leave a fair bit of the space free to open them.
We know that to do this 'properly' we need building regs approval. Just wondered whether anyone has done similar and would be able to give me a rough idea as to cost? I suppose the question that comes first is whether a conservatory would even meet the requirements. There will be a fair amount of brick, making it more orangery than conservatory but I don't know how much difference that makes.
