Cost of house removal service

We are starting to get quotes for a house removals service but the prices vary massively.

Can I ask how much you have paid to move a 3 / 4 bed house with some garden bits? It would be nice to get a ballpark figure!

We are S Wales and paid £700 for a 4 bed house plus garage. There was no VAT as we went with a small company therefore VAT exempt.

I’m interested in this - although we are going into storage for 8 weeks between leaving and moving in. But so far quotes are quite high.

I've had some quotes recently ranging from £800-900 moving 20 miles away, this is without packing service. Using a man with a van now instead and he's only charging £200, I'm a bit worried it's more work than he realises, I've briefed him as well as I can (he says he will review on the day!) and willing to pay more! He's helped us out with other things before so I know he's professional but obviously not quite the same as full removals service.

Those quotes are less than I thought which is encouraging - I thought I might be looking at over £1.5k. We are in South East so hope the prices won't be too inflated! I will do some more looking around I think.

East London. £70 per hour with two men. More of a man with a van service. We kept them busy for 7 hours.

3 bed plus garage, quite a lot of stuff, few pot plants outside, full packing service - just over 1600 once you included insurance and late key cover

That was less than a month ago and we had a couple of almost identical quotes
