Do you know the brand/model of this shower?

Hello, my shower is broken and plumber is quoting £600 for a new one as he can’t work out the brand/model for repairs 😬

Does anyone recognise it? It is probably 6+ years old

Thank you - I really need to avoid downing this money if I can

no.

The spike looks like it might be an Architeckt.

You could try Lunns

but I see it has been buried in the wall and tiled over Sad which is always a source of sadness (and expense) when it has to be dug out for repair or replacement. It's possible your plumber will be able to cut out the old tiles with a diamond blade, but most likely they will be broken.

I am very fond of the round-bodied Aqualisa mixers. The ones buried in a wall are made so they can be accessed from the front, and spares are readily available (and any plumber will recognise them). I think the cheapest is now the Colt. They have a replaceable thermostatic cartridge inside that built their reputation. Notice the large round knob of this design, they make others which may be more complicated and more expensive, but the round models are very reliable.

If you have to buy a cheap shower mixer, get a surface one that is mounted on a plate on the wall, it can be replaced in a jiffy. Cheap mixers are usually the bar type, and not very durable.

Try sending the photos to showerdoc, there’s a good chance they’ll be able to identify it for you.
