We’re looking at getting a new kitchen.. have so far got a quote from Wickes and will be getting a quote from Howdens.

Are Howdens Kitchens worth the money? Are they good quality/long lasting? Or can you recommend another company?

We already have someone lined up to fit it, so just interested in buying the units etc

I have a Howdens kitchen. We got it in 2011 and it is still going strong.

We are selling it now, only because we are extending and changing kitchen location.

I had a Howden's kitchen fitted in July and I'm very pleased with it. The fitter (someone I knew with lots of experience in kitchen fitting) said they were probably the best quality.

I had a Howdens kitchen in my previous house. Absolutely loved it. Great quality, feels solid (compared to my current kitchen which I inherited) and still looked the same three years on. Joiner at the time refused to fit kitchens from various places and Howdens was one of the few he would work with. I'd have another Howdens kitchen in a minute.

Same as everyone else, a highly recommended kitchen fitter told us to go to Howden's (once we'd talked budget) & we're very happy with it 7 years later!

Another very happy Howdens customer! Had ours from new at our last house, couldn't fault it. My current Magnet kitchen honestly isn't a patch on it.

Also happy with Howdens quality and service. They were very helpful identifying units to fit round awkward plumbing and ugly pipes and even visited our building site of a house to get a sense of the space.

Our kitchen is good quality and they were brilliant to deal with. We had cowboy builders in to fit it and they basically botched it. Howdens replaced all the botched units and end panels which I though was very generous given it wasn't their fault

Good but their appliances -Lamona- are not that good.

Sounds like they really are good then! Thanks.
And good to know about the appliances.. will look at getting them separately

Had a Howdens kitchen in my last house built by my dad who is a tradesman, 5 years later and it was fab! I agree with PP, their Lamona oven was cheap and cheerful and had to replace the element twice in that time.

Our howdens kitchen is 4 years old and remains in excellent condition, have had no issues. We like our lamona dishwasher but didn’t get any of their other appliances.
I’d definitely recommend

We have a Howden's kitchen and it's fab.
We bought our appliances from Boots Appliances which is AO with a different store front (same prices) and picked up over £150 of advantage card points.

We have one, 5 years on and going strong. We got appliances and a granite worktop from elsewhere. Only warning is that the wall cupboards are quite shallow and don't fit huge dinner plates

I love my Howden's kitchen. Getting ready to move and it's the room I'm going to miss the most. Good value for money and great quality.

Just be aware that it can be a nightmare to get spares if you are no longer in contact with your fitter/builder. They refused to even sell us a replacement handle ( most of our Howdens handles have broken off due to a metal weakness...) because we weren’t trade. The original builder had retired and moved out of the area and we didnt want to have to pay a builder to order a part costing under £20.

Also I am always cautious that Howdens are pushed hard by builders/fitters because of the lack of transparency in costing. Some even double the price to increase their profit margin. I prefer knowing what things actually cost. I think they are expensive as they include a sizable chunk to the builder. And the quality is no different to Benchmark IMO.
