property offers & bexley area (DA6)

Hello everyone,
We have seen a house today in bexley area (DA6-midhurst hill, couple of streets behind Townley Grammar School) and were thinking of making an offer on it. I have a few questions:

  1. How is the area? Is it good for young professionals with small children (we have 2 kids - DS 4 & DD 1)
  2. The two schools are Gravel HIll and and Upton Primary.

They look fine on the gov.uk as the performance says 'average'. Anyone has personal experiences from either of these schools and would you recommend them?
  1. We are of Pakistani origin, so how diverse is Bexley/Bexleyheath and specifically the area around midhurst hill.
  2. We are first time buyers and we have heard we can get a bit lower offer accepted. Is that true and how low on the asking price do you suggest we should make our first offer.

Thank you in advance.

nice area, however too close to A2 major road and very noisy.
we were looking there, but decided too close to A2.

It is close to the A2 but we lived on Upton Road and to be honest, you don't notice it.
It's a nice area. Schools wise, Upton has a very good reputation locally. Gravel Hill not so much. You could also look at Upland, which is close to the station and very good as well.
Bexleyheath is more diverse than it used to be.
