Suggestions for a chair bed / single sofa bed?

We're in the market for a chair bed - I think some shops also call them 'single sofa bed'.

We would put it in a study room and convert it into a bed when a guest is over, which won't be that often.
We'd need it to be no more than 90ish cm wide as the room is not that large.

We have seen this Ikea chair bed, which would do the job but the colours are awful www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/lycksele-havet-chair-bed-vallarum-grey-s79134148/

and this one from Made, which we don't really like www.made.com/haru-single-sofa-bed-marshmallow-grey

Any other suggestions?

All the stuff we have seen from DFS Sofology etc tends to be with arms and therefore too wide.

Have you looked at Futon?

I was going to suggest the Ikea Lykesele . We bout the double size for DS ( went for the highest price option with the best mattress ) his had a black cordhury cover .
If he needed space he folded it up to a small sofa otherwise just kept it flat

They are comfy , functional, very easy to extend / fold and wrestle to cover on . Not the most attractive chair but does the job
Ikea covers can be a bit lairy though .

The Ikea one is a properly comfortable bed, we slept on one during several months' building work.

There's a pretty healthy market for third party covers for Ikea stuff on Etsy and EBay. So you could skip buying the Ikea cover and get one elsewhere that you don't get.

A friend of ours had to use one of these for a while as his actual bed and he said it was very comfortable.

The Ikea chair comes with 3 separate mattresses; I have heard very contradicting feedback on how comfy they are (one relative swears by it, another one hates it). Do you remember which one you had?

I will look at Futon.

Also, these seem to be very well made, but they are too expensive for a chair bed that will only be used rarely.

I've just bought a dunhelm single futon for £110 for the kids room when sleepovers happen. Looks great and comes in different colours

We have the Ikea one but made a cover for it in a fabric we liked. It looks much better than the covers available in Ikea.
